Good morning. I'm a blue lettuce, Lactuca pulchella. I didn't flower this year because we're biennials. You know, start one year, flower the next. Anyway, our leaves turn pink in the fall.

I've got to tell you we're grateful for the efforts of conservationists. In 1914 a treaty was signed that ended people hunting us for our feathers. (Women liked to put them in their hats.) We were almost wiped out. Now we're back. ☺

Hey. Nice to see you. I'm a three flowered avens, Geum triflorum. As you can see I'm getting ready for winter. Sometimes our leaves turn maroon. This year we opted for orangey scarlet. See you in the spring.

Howdy. I'm a flattop aster. Doellingeria umbellata in science speak. As you can see our leaves turn golden yellow and we have bright white pappi. Our seed is dispersed by the wind.
We're also called parasol aster because our flower heads look sort of like an umbrella.
